@Pavlina20

Pavlina currently resides (in the real world) in the planned city of Columbia, MD which is located between Washington DC and Baltimore, MD.  There she plots her eventual subjugation of the world by knowing everything. She has degrees in chemistry, math, more chemistry and a little bit of chemistry on the top. She is known through the internet as Pavlina20 and you may often find her twittering about randomness, or cursing her own fate at her home on the internet at Life is not for the Lving, a how to guide for the maladjusted.

She enjoys playing games Final Fantasy on her DS, sewing and creating costumes both for work and play, playing with her two small children, watching TV, reading books, listening to podcasts and podcast novels, and trying to find a way to extend the day so she can fit all that in and still get 8 hours a sleep per day.

@lauraklotz

Laura is a thirty-something geek living in her native Pennsylvania, where she spends too much time on the internet under the alias Lady Norbert.

In addition to contributing to this website, she is an administrator on the Zeldapedia, an online encyclopedia about all things concerning The Legend of Zelda, and a periodic contributor to TV Tropes.  She has taken the Geek Test at innergeek.us and was pleased to be identified as “Total Geek.”

She wears a lot of t-shirts that make her mother roll her eyes and has a steadily growing sword and dagger collection.  Her geeky pastimes include writing fan fiction, playing video games, and watching movies with her equally geeky husband Kevin.  She masquerades as a normal person by working as the secretary in her church and writing freelance magazine articles; she’s deceived the populace so well that they allow her to be the advisor of the church’s youth group, the teenaged members of which she is gradually instructing in the Way of the Geek.

I am a geek girl in heels.  Even on days spent tinkering in the laboratory, I am balancing on top of a pair of platforms, stilettos, or vulcanized wedges.

I have a Master’s of Science in Clinical Psychology and am finishing my Ph.D. in the same discipline.  I have authored and reviewed articles in scientific journals within the fields of psychiatry, clinical psychology, and neuropsychology.

As if spending 24 years in school before I turn 30 isn’t geeky enough, I am a Star Wars, Marvel, and DC Comics fan, and can spend hours playing Tetris, crosswords, boggle, or chess.  Reason I like the holidays: Twilight Zone Marathon.  My heroes are Aeon Flux, Chernabog, Harley Quinn, Big Boo, and Edna Foa.

Jennifer Hennen is a North Dakota-bred geek girl now living in the exotic lands of Minnesota, where she spends most of her time working, gaming, and pretending she’s a good cook.  (Getting the magazines counts, right?)   She and her game designer husband share two cats, Bella and Egon, as well as a sizeable collection of Blythe dolls, My Little Ponies, and Transformers.  Luckily, the collections all get along. (Optimus Prime and Mme. Rosebud perhaps a little too well, but don’t tell Candy Carnival!)

A gamer since childhood, one of her favorite memories is going to the public library, requesting the box of 5.5″ floppies from the librarian who doubled as Mother Goose at StoryTime, and playing through half a dozen Broderbund games on the yellowing IIe.  Later memorable gaming experiences include obsessive stints with Toejam and Earl, Dune, Wolfenstein, Ocarina of Time, and, of course, Animal Crossing.  Snood got her through college, where she majored in Latin.  She plays Rock Band on Expert and isn’t afraid to kick your butt at trivia.
